Offered here is an incredible fold-out schedule postcard dating to the 1906 season. This early 20th century. This six-page booklet has “BASEBALL MAIL CARD.” printed on the front with a one cent stamp box in the upper right corner. Handwritten in pencil on the top is “only 1906 N.Y. Giants”. The interior pages have a pre-printed lineup with the adjoining page have photographs of outfielder George Browne in uniform holding his glove out and outfielder Sam Mertes in uniform reaching for a ball on the ground. The next set of pages has a 1906 National League schedule with vertical and horizontal columns of each team. The adjoining page shows individual photos of manager John McGraw in uniform with his hands on his knees and a glove on his left hand and a photo of Christy Mathewson in a throwing motion. The back image shows a crowd gathered on the field of the Polo Grounds. Printed below the image is “Polo Grounds – New York Nationals”. This item is in fair condition displaying toning and edge wear.
