Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera appeared in his first World Series during the New York Yankees memorable run to the title in 1996. Rivera, who was a setup man for closer John Wetteland, had a dominant run in the 1996 postseason, culminating in the Yankees’ first title since 1978. Rivera appeared in four games during the 1996 Fall Classic, where he posted a miniscule 1.59 ERA in 5 2/3 innings. This offered Official Ball 1996 World Series stamped baseball has the 1996 World Series logo stamped in red on the side panel and has been sourced to the Atlanta Braves. The ball displays game use with several stains and abrasions and the only unanimously elected Hall of Famer Rivera has signed his name in blue pen below the World Series logo and inscribed “My 1st World Series”. This ball comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ346217) which sourced this ball to the Atlanta Braves “End Of Year Authentication” in 2014 and a LOA from PSA/DNA (AE02916) for Rivera’s signature and has been graded a NM-MT 8.
