Offered here are two Houston Astros’ game jerseys from the 1983 season. The first jersey is a road cream-colored jersey with Bob Knepper’s name on it. This jersey has “Astros” and a star sewn on the front in navy and white tackle twill. The back of the jersey has “KNEPPER” sewn on in navy tackle twill on a matching cream-colored nameplate and the number “39” sewn on in navy and white tackle twill. There is a navy V-neck collar and the sleeves have vertical red, orange and yellow stripes bordered in navy. The sides have a vertical navy stripe and the lower front left tail has a size 42 W.A. Goodman tag”. The second jersey is a “Tequila Sunrise”-style jersey that has “Astros” sewn on the front on the white in navy tackle twill, with a navy star screen-printed on the stripes with a white outline. The bottom front left tail has an “83 * 38” tag, a Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Houston Astros National League medalist Sand-Knit” tag and a “Medalist Sand-Knit 42 Berlin, WI. U.S.A.” tag.
