During the NBA's All-Star break in 1965, Wilt Chamberlain's uneasy relationship with the city and fans of San Francisco came to an end. The Warriors traded the future Hall of Famer to the Philadelphia 76ers (for three players, plus cash), under an agreement finalized by the succinct language of the original, one-page document offered here. This fully executed contract represents what turned out to be a successful move for the Sixers, as Chamberlain's return to home turf inspired a renewed determination to once again showcase his brilliant and unique, MVP-caliber talents. Chamberlain led the Sixers to their first NBA title in 1967, breaking the dominant run of their arch rivals the Boston Celtics. This document comes with a COA from JSA.
