Encapsulated with Autograph grade NM 7 by PSA/DNA. Hall of Famer. Despite having retired in 1969, Mickey Mantle remained involved with baseball and his former team for several years afterward. This colorful and distinctive New York Yankees bank check, dated May 26, 1973, is made payable to Mickey Mantle for the amount of $306.74. Mantle has endorsed the back, in the proper spot, in flowing blue ballpoint ink; the check was further negotiated by Hotel St. Moritz, likely in settlement of accounts upon its famous guest's departure. Mantle's is an especially difficult signature to acquire on an official New York Yankees check. The slugger was enshrined at Cooperstown in 1974, and passed away in 1995.
