Offered here are a collection of game use bats used by members of the Houston Astros during the 1980’s and 1990’s. The first bat was used by Alan Ashby during the 1979-80 labeling period. This bat displays heavy game use and has a crack on the handle. Ashby’s number “14” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18899) for the game use. The next bat was used by Steve Finely during the 1993-95 seasons. Finley’s Cooper M110 model bat displays moderate game use and is un-cracked. The number “12” is handwritten in black marker on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18898) for the game use. The next bat was used by Davey Lopes during the 1986 season. This Rawlings 256B model bat displays moderate game use and has a crack on the handle. There is also a small hole on the bottom of the knob and Lopes’ number “15” is handwritten on the knob and top barrel. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18897) for the game use. The next bat was used by Eric Anthony during the 1991 season. Anthony’s Rawlings 155B model bat displays moderate game use and has a crack on the handle. The number “21” is handwritten in silver marker on the knob end and in black marker on the cupped barrel end. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18896) for the game use. The final bat in this lot was used by Kevin Bass. Bass’ Louisville Slugger M110 model bat dates to the 1984-86 seasons and displays heavy game use. This bat has a crack on the handle that has been secured by small nails. Bass’ number “17” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and in white on the top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18895) for the game use.
