Undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. has signed this pair of fight worn Cleto Reyes boxing gloves dating from the early era of his professional career. The 50-0 Mayweather began his professional boxing journey with a TKO win against Robert Apodaca in Las Vegas in October of 1996, amassing 49 more wins capped off by a victory over mixed martial arts legend Conor McGregor in the Irish firebrand’s boxing debut. Boxing specialist Travis Roste opines that these gloves were worn during the first “18 to 20” fights of Mayweather’s professional career, which includes notable victories over Tony Pep, Genaro Hernandez, and Hector Arroyo, among others.
These offered Cleto Reyes boxing gloves are eight-ounce models wrapped around the wrists with white tape. The Cleto Reyes logo is applied on the top of both gloves. The gloves are primarily red, with white accents under the thumbs and white laces. Mayweather has signed both of the gloves in black marker. The gloves come with a pair of LOAs from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication Services for Mayweather’s signature (A76042, A76043) as well as Letters of Authenticity from the WBC and Travis Roste. A Letter of Provenance from the original recipient of the gloves also accompanies the pair.
