1964 American League Rookie of the Year Tony Oliva spent his entire career with the Minnesota Twins which spanned 15 seasons. Oliva finished his career with an impressive .304 batting average and was an eight-time all-star. Oliva wore this fantastic, vintage, polyester double-knit Twins jersey in 1974. This jersey has “Twins” and a paraph sewn on diagonally across the chest in red and navy tackle twill, along with Oliva’s number “6”. There is a strip tag reading “74 Set 1” is adhered to the left front tail of the pullover jersey. Oliva’s number 3 is sewn on in red and blue tackle twill on the back and the V-neck collar and shirt sleeve ends are ringed in elastic red, white and blue. “Minnie and Paul” Twin Cities logo patch of two players shaking hands is on the left sleeve. There is a Wilson size 44 tag sewn on the inside back collar with “T. Oliva” handwritten in black marker around the Wilson and 44. This jersey displays moderate use with puckering on the letters and numbers and some dirt stains. This jersey comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200405A8) for the game use.
