“Showtime” was on full display during the Los Angeles Lakers season of 1987-88, as the team ran to a 62-20 record. Byron Scott (21.7 points per game), Magic Johnson (19.6 PPG) and James Worthy (19.7 PPG) provided plenty of offense. Johnson also added 11.9 assists per game, while 40-year-old Kareem Abdul-Jabbar recorded 14.6 points per contest. After a first-round sweep of the San Antonio Spurs, the Lakers played three consecutive seven-game playoff series, the last being a victory over the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Finals.

Offered here is a Balfour 10K gold 1988 Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship salesman sample ring, featuring a round CZ set on a purple stone surrounded by additional CZs. “WORLD CHAMPION LAKERS 1988” reads in relief work. One side of the ring displays a Lakers team logo, highlighted in enamel, with the name “JOHNSON” above and “LAKERS 4 PISTONS 3” below. A colorful NBA logo is featured on the opposite side, between the years “1987” and “1988” representing L.A. title seasons. “BACK TO BACK” reads above. Inside the band includes inventory, manufacturer and 10K marks. This ring is an approximate size 11 and weighs approximately 33.7 grams.
