Led by Hall of Fame players Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson, the 1981-82 Los Angeles Lakers posted a 57-25 regular season record, tops in the NBA Pacific Division. Abdul-Jabbar led the Lakers in scoring, averaging 23.9 points per game, while Johnson posted team-high per game averages in rebounds (9.6), assists (9.5) and steals (2.7) while also scoring 18.6 points per contest. Jamaal Wilkes added 21.1 PPG and Norm Nixon put up 17.6 points and 8.0 assists per game. Los Angeles swept through the Western Conference playoffs without a loss to reach the NBA Finals, then defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, four games to two, to win the championship.

Offered here is a Balfour 14K gold 1982 Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship ring featuring a single round diamond set on a larger colored stone. “N.B.A. WORLD CHAMPIONS” reads around the stone in relief lettering. One side of the ring displays a team logo with the name “CURRAN” above(who was the teams trainer). At the bottom is an image of a basketball net alongside the Lakers playoff record of 12-2. The opposite side is centered by a large image of the NBA logo, which splits the listing of the year 1982. “TEAMWORK” reads below. Inside the band of this approximate size 11 ring is marked “BALFOUR 14K”. This item weighs approximately 38.5 grams.
