The NBA’s MVP in 2011 and Rookie of the Year in 2009, Derrick Rose played high school basketball at Simeon Career Academy in Chicago. The Wolverines became Chicago’s first, repeat public league state champions during Rose’s final two years, 2006 and 2007. These Nike Elite, hi-top basketball shoes, have been boldly signed and inscribed by Rose with a black Sharpie at the toe of each, “D. Rose 2-time IL. State champs Simeon.” The signature grades 10. The shoes have evidence of game use. The tread on both soles is slightly discolored, but not worn. The upper leather is crinkled from being bent.
