San Diego Padres shortstop mega-prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. wore this brown Padres alternate jersey on June 28th, 2019 against the St. Louis Cardinals. Tatis, playing in his 46th career MLB game, flashed the speed and power that made him Baseball America’s number two prospect heading into the 2019 season against Michael Wacha and the Cardinals. In the sixth inning, Tatis crushed a solo homer off Wacha for the 10th dinger of his career, with Eric Hosmer going yard again in the very next at bat. In the bottom of the eighth, Tatis drew a walk and promptly stole second base for the 12th steal of his career. Kirby Yates tossed a hitless one-and-a-third innings to preserve San Diego’s 3-1 win and earn his 27th save of the season.
The youthful Tatis finished the 2019 season with an insane .316/.379/.590 slash line in his age-20 season, adding 22 homers, 53 RBI, and six triples in only 84 games to solidify his status as the future of the Padres franchise. This offered San Diego Padres button-down alternate jersey features “PADRES” sewn across the chest in yellow and white tackle twill, while “TATIS JR.” is sewn across the back shoulders in yellow tackle twill. Tatis’ number “23” is sewn on the back of the jersey in yellow and white tackle twill. A Padres logo is sewn on the left sleeve above a white Majestic logo, and a Padres 50th season logo is sewn on the right sleeve above the MLB 150 logo. A large dirt stain is present on the chest of this jersey. The sides and back tail of the jersey are constructed of a brown mesh fabric, while yellow bands accent the collar and sleeves. An MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A Majestic size “46” tag is applied to the front left tail. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JD840500) stating that the jersey was used on June 28th.
