Throughout his 20-year career in New York pinstripes, Derek Jeter has been a model of consistent excellence. 2010 was no exception, as captain of the defending World Champion Yankees, Jeter helped lead his team into another postseason by hitting .270 with 10 homers. Along the way the fans voted him onto the American League All-Star team and his flawless fielding at shortstop earned him the American League Golden Glove Award.

Perhaps a large part of his consistency at the plate can be attributed to the bat he uses. Since his days in the minor leagues, Jeter has used a Louisville Slugger P72 model bat. This P72 model Louisville Slugger is un-cracked and displays outstanding game use. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers, cleat imprints and white leather scuffs present through the barrel. The handle has a coating of pine tar and the knob has the bat’s manufacture date “2/4/2010” and the bat’s length/weight “34/30”. Jeter has signed the barrel in contrasting silver pen between the center brand and signature stamping and inscribed “10 Game Used”. Please note that the silver signature and inscription were signed over imperfections on the bat. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16074) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10, and a LOA from PSA/DNA (AF6398) for the signature.
