Presented is a multi-signed 1998 National Basketball Association game ball with 33 signatures of NBA All-Stars, including Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. Other notable signatures in black marker on the orange leather Official NBA David J. Stern game ball include Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, Dikembe Mutombo, Karl Malone, David Robinson, Gary Payton and Mitch Richmond. The ball is stamped with the logo, in black, “All-Star Weekend Madison Square Garden New York February 6-8, 1998”. The East All-Stars won the 48th edition of the NBA All-Star Game, 135-114. This game was the All-Star Game debut of Bryant, the youngest all-star in NBA history at 19 years of age, and rookie Tim Duncan. Bryant had a team-high 18 points. Jordan earned MVP honors, scoring 23 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing out 8 assists despite having the flu. This was Jordan's third MVP award.
