American goaltender Cory Schneider wore this red New Jersey Devils home jersey on February 9th, 2016 against the Edmonton Oilers on Martin Brodeur Jersey Retirement Night at Prudential Center. Schneider played like Brodeur on the Hall of Famer’s special day, stopping 19 of 20 Edmonton shots to steer New Jersey to a 2-1 victory. Adam Henrique and Reed Boucher each tallied a goal and an assist for the Devils, while Tyler Kennedy and Lee Stempniak were also credited with assists. Schneider recorded one of the best seasons of his career in 2015-16, finishing in sixth place in the Vezina Trophy voting with a .924 save percentage and 2.15 goals against average.
This offered Devils home jersey is red, with white and black accents and a large Devils logo patch sewn on the chest. A Martin Brodeur number “30” patch and an NHL logo patch are also sewn on the chest. Schneider’s number “35” is sewn on the back of the jersey and both sleeves in white and black tackle twill, while “SCHNEIDER” is sewn across the back shoulders in white and black tackle twill over a matching red nameplate. This “goalie-style” jersey is equipped with a fight strap. A MeiGray NHL Game Worn Jersey patch (M04684) is sewn inside the jersey. The jersey also comes with a Devils/MeiGray LOA.
