Offered in this lot is a jersey worn by New Jersey Gems center Debra Comerie during the 1979 Women’s Professional Basketball League season. The 6’1” Comerie owned the boards for the Gems in her rookie season of 1979-80, with the former William Paterson star hoovering up rebounds to the tune of 10.3 per game. This offered Gems jersey is orange, with Comerie’s number “5” sewn on the chest and back in white and blue tackle twill. “GEMS” is sewn along the front tail of the jersey in white and blue tackle twill below a WPBL patch. A Russell Athletic “Misses 20” size tag is located on the back inside collar. This comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the use.

Please note that this lot has a 25% Buyer’s Premium (28% if payment is made using a credit card and/or is not paid within 10 days of invoice). Goldin Auctions will be donating 5% of the winning bid price to The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
