Presented is a Mickey Mantle signature on a 1960 United Press International photograph of the Hall of Fame New York Yankees centerfielder posed with a bat alongside his son Mickey Jr. Mantle has signed his name in blue pen above his son’s head in the upper left corner. He is holding a bat, wearing his Yankees pinstriped home jersey and navy-club cap in the Yankee Stadium dugout, sitting to the left of his son, who is holding the other end of the bat in the 7 x 9-inch black and white wire service photo. The UPI stamp in black is on the back of the photo. The photo was distributed nationwide and appeared on the back cover of the 1960 Scholastic Books paperback “The Baseball Life of Mickey Mantle”.
