Fate would have it that Ivan Rodriguez would be behind the plate when Stephen Strasburg’s made his debut with the Washington Nationals in 2011. The veteran catcher was able to impart his two decades worth of wisdom to the young phenom before wrapping up his Hall of Fame-bound career. Pudge batted .281 in 44 games before retiring as the most respected defensive backstop of his generation. This offered Louisville Slugger C271L model bat was used by Rodriguez during the 2011 season and displays excellent game use. This un-cracked bat has ball marks, stitch impressions and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. The bat’s manufacture date “2/25/2011” and length/weight “34.0/33.0” have been stamped on the knob. Pudge’s number “7” has been handwritten in silver marker on the knob end and top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B03975) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10.
