Game used bats, no matter the player or year they were used, are all unique in that they were part of a Major League game. Yet, even within the rarified category of game used bats, there is an even smaller, ultra-exclusive subsection to which this Barry Bonds bat belongs. The Giants slugger used this bat during his record-setting 2001 season in which he set the single-season home run record at 73. This SAM Bat shows excellent game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks on the barrel and the handle has been taped in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the grip. The white sticker with “MADE IN CANADA” with the red leaf is affixed to the knob and the bat’s specifications “34.1 31.6 oz 08 02 01 B2K1 BB.” Have been handwritten in a fine-tipped black marker on the cupped barrel end. Bonds has signed his name in silver marker above the gold-stamped “SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS” on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (B96787) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10. There is also a Barry Bonds hologram affixed to the barrel.
