San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers burst onto the scene in his third NFL season of 2006, taking over the reins of the Chargers offense from Drew Brees and leading the Bolts to a wildly successful 14-2 season. Rivers was named to the Pro Bowl after passing for 3,388 yards and 22 touchdowns against only nine interceptions. Rivers wore this white Chargers helmet on November 5th of 2006 as the Chargers defeated the Cleveland Browns 32-25 at Qualcomm Stadium in a Week 9 matchup. Rivers threw for 211 yards in this game and converted a late two-point conversion with a pass to Vincent Jackson as the Chargers improved to 6-2 on the year.
This offered Chargers helmet is white, with lightning bolt logos applied to both sides of the helmet. Rivers’ number “17” is applied to both sides of the helmet in navy numerals. The facemask is gray, with a Riddell bumper and no chin straps. A Chargers bumper is applied to the back of the helmet. The helmet comes with a STICKER ONLY from NFL-PSA/DNA (1N28818).
