Presented is a Michael Jordan signature on a white University of North Carolina basketball jersey. The two-time Basketball Hall of Famer has signed his name in black marker on the light blue with navy-blue border numeral “2” of his number “25” on the back of the Nike Jordan replica jersey. The jersey features Jordan’s last name across the back in light blue letters, a light blue, dark blue and navy-blue “argyle” pattern on both sides, and the interlocking “NC” letters in light blue with navy-blue border on the front. The V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are in light blue and white striped elastic. As a freshman in North Carolina head coach Dean Smith's team-oriented system, he was named Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Year after he averaged 13.4 points per game on 53.4 percent shooting. He made the game-winning jump shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game against Georgetown, which was led by future NBA rival Patrick Ewing. Jordan later described this shot as the major turning point in his basketball career. During his three seasons with the Tar Heels, he averaged 17.7 points per game on 54.0 percent shooting, and added 5.0 rebounds per game. He was selected by consensus to the NCAA All-American First Team in both his sophomore (1983) and junior (1984) seasons. After winning the Naismith and the Wooden College Player of the Year awards in 1984, Jordan left North Carolina one year before his scheduled graduation to enter the 1984 NBA Draft. And the rest is history! This item comes with a COA from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAG55648).
