It appears everybody even remotely associated with the 2002 Los Angeles Lakers three-peat team was allowed Championship ring that year – even Suite owners! This Henry Kay 14K gold ring has the name “LAKERS” on a gold base, both infused with diamonds. This is surrounded by “NBA CHAMPIONS 2000 2001 2002” in raised relief on the perimeter. The one shank has the name “SPRINT” with the NBA logo. The other shank contains the stadium name “STAPLES CENTER” with the Lakers logo and the name “CHICK” and a raised microphone. These recognize famed Lakers play-by-play man Chick Hearn, who passed in August 2002. This size 9 ring weighs 50 grams, and has “14K” engraved within the band. This ring was issued to suite owners and is not the same as the ring presented to the players. Excellent condition.
