Presented is a 1906 Mark Twain inscription and signature on a white 3½ x 4½-inch postcard which also features a black and white cut head and shoulder photograph of the great American writer. Twain, born Samuel Clemens, has inscribed “Truly Yours, Mark Twain” in black pen to the right of the pasted photo. Below the photo is the inscription “Jan. / 06.”in black pen. The reverse of the postcard is inscribed in black pen to the addressee, in German, and postmarked February 2, 1906 from New York, New York stamped in black. The postcard bears a two-cent George Washington U.S. Post Office stamp. This item has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA (83292917) and the signature is graded Authentic.
