The Hall of Fame Yankees centerfielder has signed his name in black marker on the left front chest of the Mitchell & Ness Cooperstown Collection jersey below the navy-blue interlocking “NY” logo. The jersey is inscribed on the lower left flap with “In the summer of ’41 Joe DiMaggio hit safely in 56 straight games wearing these New York Yankees pinstripes” in blue embroidery. Below the inscription is “58/325” in red embroidery. DiMaggio’s number “5” is in navy-blue on the back of the jersey. DiMaggio was a three-time American League Most Valuable Player Award winner (1939, 1941, 1947) and an AL All-Star in each of his 13 seasons with the Yankees. During his tenure, the “Yankee Clipper” and the Yankees won 10 AL pennants and nine World Series championships.
