World renowned artist Peter Rubino carved this exquisite bust of baseball great and Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig in a limited edition run produced in 1990. The original limited-edition run was 5,000, but due to various circumstances, only a few hundred were actually produced, making this item very rare. This bust measures approximately 12 inches tall and is mounted on a 10 x 10-inch wooden base. The bust itself, which displays an incredible likeness to the original Ironman, has a marble veneer and has the facsimile signature of Gehrig below his face with the reverse having the artist Peter Rubino’s signature with the copyright “90” with “Rudolf-Rubino Creations 284/5000 Curtis Management Group 90”. This piece is in good condition.
