After 1,115 games and 652 regular season saves, Mariano Rivera’s legendary 19-season career came to a close in 2013. Rivera retired as the all-time saves’ leader in Major League history and was the first player ever unanimously elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Rivera pitched a scoreless ninth inning against the visiting Baltimore Orioles during the July 6, 2013 game, allowing only a hit and striking out one to earn the save – his 29th of the 2013 season and 637th of his storied career.

Rivera wore this home white Yankees uniform during the July 6 game. The button-down Majestic Yankees jersey has the interlocking “NY” sewn on the upper left chest in navy tackle twill. Rivera’s #42, the final jersey in all of baseball to sport this important number, can be found on the back in the same navy tackle twill. The front of the jersey holds the “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label on the lower left tail, accompanied by two tags that read “2013” and “46”. A NY Yankees inventory label below the manufacturer’s tag reads “0000003484.” The jersey is tagged with an MLB Authentication hologram (EK641991) and a Steiner Sports hologram (207598). The jersey displays light game use and Rivera has signed his name in silver marker on the middle rung of the “4” on the back and inscribed “GU 7/6/13” on the “2”.

Also included are the matching white with navy pinstriped home pants that round out the uniform. The Manufacturer’s tag on the interior waistband reads “#42 Rivera 35-40 35 OB ’13”. The pants are also tagged with an MLB Authentication hologram (EK641992), along with two Steiner Sports holograms – one is numbered 207599). These pants display light use and Rivera has signed the upper right back and inscribed “GU 7/6/13”. A great game used set from the all-time leader in saves and the only unanimous selection into the Hall of Fame.
