Offered here is a promotional poster featuring the cover the November 28, 1983 edition of Sports Illustrated “COLLEGE BASKETBALL PREVIEW” with Michael Jordan and Sam Perkins in their North Carolina uniforms on the cover. Time Life at the time of the posters issue owned Sports Illustrated. The item item originated from an employee of Time Life and these were not distributed to the public, but were used as a promotional posters for stores selling the magazines and are extremely rare. The oversized poster measures and impressive 20 x 28" and is in excellent condition for its age.

There are very few of these posters, let alone ones signed by the UNC basketball team. Both Jordan and Perkins have signed their names on their images in bold black marker with nearly perfect Near Mint condition signatures and this poster has 13 other signatures from the 1983-84 UNC Tarheels basketball team for a total of 15. Signatures include Brad Daugherty, Matt Doherty, Kenny Smith, Steve Hale, Buzz Peterson, Joe Wolf, Cecil Exum, Dave Popson, Cliff Morris, Timo Makkonen, Chris Hunter, Warren Martin and James Daye. This comes with a LOA from JSA (Y89024).
