After 1,115 games and 652 regular season saves, Mariano Rivera’s legendary 19-season career came to a close in 2013. Rivera retired as the all-time saves’ leader in Major League history and was the first player ever unanimously elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Rivera pitched a scoreless ninth inning against the visiting Baltimore Orioles during the July 6, 2013 game, allowing only a hit and striking out one to earn the save – his 29th of the 2013 season and 637th of his storied career. Rivera wore this size 7 3/8 navy Yankees’ cap during spring training in 2013 and this cap features the Yankees’ interlocking “NY” logo embroidered in white. The brim is white and Rivera has signed his name in blue marker and inscribed “GU 2013”. The hat displays moderate game use with some dirt stains on the brim and front shell. The back has the MLB logo patch in white and gray and the dark underside brim has “Mo “42”” handwritten in silver. This cap comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK653515), which authenticates this hat as a spring training hat and STICKERS ONLY from Steiner Sports (169751) and signed hologram.
