Carlos Santana Cleveland Indians Game Used and Signed Catchers Equipment: Chest Protector, Mask, & Shin Guards

The Indians inked Carlos Santana to a five-year deal in 2012 after the catcher hit 27 home runs in the 2011 season. Get behind the plate with this set of Santana’s game-used, signed gear from 2012. The set includes leg guards, a chest protector and mask, all signed by Santana. The navy blue Louisville Slugger TPX chest protector with red and silver accenting features Santana’s initials “CS” and No. 41 stitched in white on the red neck padding. The markings are stained brown from game use. Below the markings is a scuffed TPX logo in white with Martinez’s signature underneath in black marker accompanied by his No. 41 and notation “game used 2012.” The back straps of the protector have three areas wrapped in black tape and the buckles to secure the sides of the protector are intact. A Louisville Slugger patch is sewn onto the upper back of the protector. The shoulders and stomach of the protector show wear, likely from baseball contact and are discolored from use. The grey TPX leg guards with red trim and navy blue plate just above the knee both feature Santana’s signature on the shin in black marker accompanied by his No. 41 and notation “game used 2012” just below the black TPX logo. Both guards have navy blue Easton size large knee saver pads attached with all leg straps intact. The knee savers show heavy use and staining. The knee pads and thigh guard are extremely scuffed and stained from the rigors of playing catcher in the dirt behind the batter’s box. Both foot guards also show signs of use and are stained. Santana’s black Nike mask with black Team Wendy padding and silver metal cage is signed on the inside forehead padding in silver ink with the same No. 41 and “game used 2012” noted. The signature is slightly faded due to the padding material and is around a Grade 7. The black straps and padding on the mask are dirt stained and dusty. There is a Nike baseball logo on the back strap and Team Wendy logo on the front of the mask at the chin. The catcher’s set is PSA/DNA pre-certified.
