The Great One’s arrival in California in 1988 heralded an unprecedented interest in hockey. Not only did kids of all ages begin take up the sport, but Wayne Gretzky’s presence paved the way for the Mighty Ducks and San Jose Sharks to make California their home. This white Los Angeles Kings home jersey has been mounted and framed and has “GRETZKY” sewn across the back shoulders in gray and black tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. His number “99” is sewn on the back of the jersey in gray and black tackle twill and on both sleeves in gray and white tackle twill. Two CCM logos and two NHL logos are sewn on the back tail. Gretzky has signed his name in black marker on the middle rung of the left “9” and inscribed “99”. This jersey comes with a LOA from JSA (BB68483) for the signature.
