Presented is a piece by late American Artist Thomas Kinkade. Being #2 (Derek Jeter) of only 75 makes this artwork rare and very desirable. Thomas Kinkade not only personally enhanced and signed the canvas, but he also sketched and signed an original baseball on the back.

Kinkade captures the grandeur of the old Yankee Stadium on a bright sunny day. Painted in 2007 to honor the final season of the venerable baseball cathedral, Kinkade’s surreal artwork can almost be mistaken for a portrait as the view from behind home plate from what would have been the upper deck overlooks the entire field and includes the shadows coming across the infield and into right field from the famed façade. The Yankees are in the field ready for action as a batter is lined up at the plate. The capacity crowd, the flags in center field, the big scoreboard, the buildings in the Bronx neighborhood in the foreground, the scattered clouds in the sky and the Yankees iconic interlocking “NY” logo painted behind home plate perfectly capture a perfect summer day at The House That Ruth (and Jeter) Built.

This exquisite piece has been framed and matted to a dimension of 34 x 29 inches and is a limited-edition studio proof that has been numbered “2/75”. This Kinkade artwork has never been hung or displayed and comes in its original packaging. It was published using acid-free, premium grade paper & artist’s canvas, is officially licensed by MLB, and comes with a detailed certificate of authenticity from Thomas Kinkade Painter of Light.
