Offered here are two official lineup cards for the Arizona Diamondbacks from Games 4 & 5 of the 2001 National League Championship Series. The Diamondbacks knocked off the St. Louis Cardinals in five games to advance to the franchise’s first ever World Series appearance. The first card is a blue card and dated “10-20-01” for Game 4 of the NLCS. This card has the “OFFICIAL BATTING ORDER (VISITING CLUB) with “Arizona” handwritten on the Club line. There are three columns “ORIGINAL”, “CHANGE” and “ALSO ELGIBLE”. The lineup is handwritten in black pen with “Womack 6 Counsell 4 Gonzalez 7 Sanders 9 Finley 8 Williams 5 Grace 3 Miller 2 Lopez 1”. The Also Eligible line has handwritten “Barajas Bell Bautista Colbrunn Dellucci Durazo Cummings Swindell Anderson Morgan Witt Batista Koplove Kim Johnson Schilling”. Manager Bob Brenley signed his name in black pen on the “MANAGER’S SIGNATURE” line. This comes with a LOA from JSA for the signature.
The second card is also blue and was from the clinching Game 5 and is dated “10-21-01”. This card has the “OFFICIAL BATTING ORDER (VISITING CLUB) with “Arizona” handwritten on the Club line. There are three columns “ORIGINAL”, “CHANGE” and “ALSO ELGIBLE”. The lineup is handwritten in pencil with “Womack 6 Counsell 4 Gonzalez 7 Sanders 9 Grace 3 Williams 5 Bautista 8 Miller 2 Johnson 1”. The Also Eligible line has handwritten “Barajas Bell Colbrunn Dellucci Durazo Cummings Finley Swindell Anderson Morgan Witt Koplove Kim Schilling Batista Lopez”.
