This offered official lineup card is from the first game on September 9, 1955 between the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. The Cubs won this game 11-4, but the Brooklyn Dodgers would go on to win the National League and win the only World Series title while the franchise was in Brooklyn. This card is from the Brooklyn Dodgers and has ON ROAD – OFFICIAL BATTING ORDER CLUB BROOKLYN” printed in black on the top. The card has two columns “ORIGINAL” and “CHANGE” with the lineup handwritten in blue pen and reads “Amoros (Gilliam crossed out) Reese Snider Hodges Walker (Amoros crossed out) Robinson Moryn Zimmer”. The presence of Walt Moryn, who played just 58 games for the Dodgers between 1954-55 helps peg the date on this one as it is the only time this exact lineup was featured. The great Don Newcombe was on the mound for this game for the Dodgers.

1955 Brooklyn Dodgers Line Up Card from September 9, 1955 - World Series Championship Season
