To celebrate the NBA’s Golden Anniversary season in 1996, the league’s 50 Greatest Players were unveiled, as selected by a panel of former players, coaches, current and former GMs, executives and members of the media. Each player was offered a ring to commemorate the occasion and presented here is the salesman sample made for the NBA’s all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

This ring displays an image of a basketball – with the number 50 atop it – on the center of the face. “NBA GREATEST PLAYERS” reads around it in relief lettering. One side displays the NBA league logo and the years “1946” and “1996”. An NBA 50 logo centers the opposite side, with the “ABDUL-JABBAR” at the top and his jersey number “33” at the bottom. The inside of the band is marked “LGB SAMPLE”. This ring is an approximate size 13 and weighs approximately 52.3 grams. The hinged display boxes are lined with felt and measure approximately 8” x 6” x 2 ½” and includes “KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR” and NBA 50 logos.
