Hall of Famer had a busy 1994 season as he worked his way up the minor league chain of the New York Yankees. Jeter played for three different teams in the Yankees’ organization in 1994 before his big-league debut in May of 1995. Jeter’s last stop before the Bronx, was for AAA Columbus, where he played in 35 games and batted .349.
Jeter wore this size XL button-down jersey while in Columbus in 1994 and this jersey was manufactured by Betlin Mfg. Co of Columbus, Ohio, whose tag is sewn on the inside back collar. The front of his jersey has the Columbus Clippers logo patch sewn on the upper left chest. The collar and sleeve ends have blue and white stripes. Both sleeves have remnants of patches that have since been removed. The left sleeve had the Minor League patch and the right sleeve had the MLB 125th Anniversary patch, which has been removed with remnants of the patch still visible on the jersey. The back of this jersey has Jeter’s original number with the team “24”, which is sewn on in blue tackle twill. This jersey displays moderate game use with some stains and loose threads on the tackle twill numbers. A wonderful opportunity to own an early career Derek Jeter gamer. This jersey comes with a photocopy LOA from the Columbus Clippers and a LOA from Jason Moritz, the bat boy during that season.
