Offered in this lot is the ball used during the match between host nation Uruguay and Yugoslavia in the 1930 FIFA World Cup Semi-Final in Montevideo. This ball is the Argentinian-style 12-paneled ball, differing from the Uruguayan “T-model” ball used during several other games in the tournament. The tournament semi-final between Uruguay and Yugoslavia saw the hosts go down a goal in the fourth minute, but the Uruguayans bounced back with six unanswered goals to win 6-1.
