In only his second season, teenager Kobe Bryant was selected to play in the NBA All-Star Game. This was his first of what would be 18 selections in his Hall of Fame Career. Bryant was voted as a starter by the fans for the 1998 All-Star Game that was played at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This was also the first All-Star Game to feature both Bryant and fellow Hall of Famer Michael Jordan.

Offered here is a warm up jersey and shorts issued to and worn by Kobe Bryant for the 1998 All-Star Game Weekend. The mesh jersey is a black/white reversible. The front of the jersey has the “ALL-STAR WEEKEND MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NEW YORK FEBRUARY 6-8, 1998” screen-printed on the chest. The back has “BRYANT” and “8” screen-printed in white. When the jersey is reversed, “NBA ALL*STARS” with a basketball and the NBA logo are screen-printed in blue, orange and black, along with the Champion logos and NBA logo on the upper left chest. “BRYANT” and “8” are screen-printed in black on the back. The “Champion size XL” is sewn on the lower front left tail on the black side and the “Champion MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE 48TH ANNUAL NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND” tags are sewn on the bottom front left tail of both the black and white sides.

The shorts are black mesh and made by Champion. They have the “NBA BASKETBALL” logo with the Champion and NBA logos to the left, all screen-printed in blue, white and red. The shorts are a size 40-42 as indicated with the Champion tag sewn on the inside back waist. A great set of early-career Kobe Bryant game used items, tied to his first all-star appearance. The jersey and shorts come with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication for the use by Kobe during the 1998 All-Star Game Weekend.
