Presented is a framed display celebrating Derek Jeter’s 3,000th career hit incorporating his game-used batting glove and dirt from the Yankee Stadium infield. Jeter’s game-used batting glove is mounted at the lower right side of the display. The white leather right-hand glove has dirt stains on the fingers and thumb, with a blue elastic wrist strap emblazoned with a blue cloth patch with “#2 Jeter” embroidered in white. Above the glove is a 3 x 4-inch clear plastic case with dirt from Yankees Stadium. This item has an MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ669962), dating the dirt to September 1, 2011. The top center of the framed display features a 2½-inch circular white panel with the navy-blue interlocking “NY” logo. Below the logo is a full ticket to the July 9, 2011 game at Yankee Stadium against the Tampa Bay Rays. Below the ticket is a 2½-inch circular white panel with the red, white and blue Yankees logo featuring a top hat, baseball bat and baseball. The top left of the display is a 5 x 7-inch color action photograph of Jeter collecting his 3,000th career hit. Below the photo is a 2 x 6-inch gold metal plaque with black engraving, “Derek Jeter 3,000 Hits – July 9, 2011 Yankee Stadium Derek Jeter becomes the first New York Yankees player to reach the 3,000-hit mark in pinstripes. This collage includes a game used glove used during the 2011 Season and game used dirt from Yankee Stadium”. The bottom left of the display is a 5 x 7-inch color photo of the entrance façade of the new Yankee Stadium. The two photos, plaque, logos, ticket, dirt sample and batting glove are each mounted on the navy-blue cardstock matte, with gold border around each item and a white border around the full display, which is in a 24 x 28-inch gold wood frame with glass. This item comes with a COA from Steiner.
