Graded PR 1 by SGC. Hall of Famer. Lou Gehrig had a monster campaign in 1934. His .363 batting average, 49 home runs and 165 RBI's made the star a "Triple Crown" winner. One of two pieces in the 1934 Goudey set to feature the "Iron Horse," this depiction shows the legend in a bat-wielding pose. The offered card – which boasts superb color in its likeness of the fabled Yankee – displays the effects of past handling (most significantly, a vertical crease). This is a treasured Goudey portrayal, in still-respectable Poor condition.
