Offered here is a vintage, original program for Walt Disney's animated classic Fantasia. This program piece has been signed by Disney himself, making this a truly rare piece. Based on the Paul Dukas musical piece, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" Fantasia was short-subject cartoon starring Mickey Mouse and was an eight-minute short orchestrated by Leopold Stokowski. Seven classical music selections were incorporated into the animation’s extended version that ultimately ended up being two-hours long and include classical pieces like Beethoven’s Pastorale Symphony, Johan Sebastian Bach’s Toccata in D Minor, Tchikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite and Schubert’s Ave Maria. The legend Disney himself signed his name in black pen across the bottom of the cover. There is toning and edge wear with some minor spine wear. This program is in otherwise good condition and comes with a LOA from JSA for Disney’s signature.
