Presented is a 48-card complete set of Bowman "Red Menace" non-sports cards issued in 1951. This intriguing production fueled the anti-communistic fervor that gripped, and crippled, American society. Bowman issued this set of colorful collectibles depicting vital events, prominent military leaders, and the potential effects of nuclear war (as seen on card #23). With four exceptions (#'s 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 25, 26, 29, 30, 37 and 42), the cards are all printed on white cardstock. Highlights include: #'s 2 MacArthur (EX), 23 Ghost City (EX/MT), 24 General "Ike" in Command (EX) and 47 War-Maker (VG/EX). Grades EX to EX/MT (few slightly nicer; handful lesser).
