Offered here is a vintage set of store model catcher’s gear. The first item is a MacGregor catcher’s mask with a black-painted metal frame and tan padding. “Bill Dickey” is printed on the outer chin pad behind the bottom metal bar. There is a criss-crossing leather strap on the back that connects to the outer metal shell. The mask displays heavy use. The next item is a pair of shin guards made by Rawlings. The shins and feet coverings are blue and the knee guards are orange. There is white leather that separates the knees/shins and the shins/feet. “Elston Howard” is printed below the Rawlings logo on the white transition pieces between the knees and the shins. Each shin guard has three straps on the back that connect on the upper knee, middle shin and lower shin. These shin guards display heavy use.

The next item in this lot is a tan chest protector. The chest protector was manufactured by MacGregor and has “Bill Dickey” stamped on the front in black. There are shoulder straps that connect in the center, which connects to a horizontal strap that are attached to the outsides. This piece of equipment displays heavy use. The final item in this lot is an old-time catcher’s mitt. This mitt is made of genuine cowhide and has “Bill Dickey” stamped in bold on the palm side outer fingers. “HAND MOULDED PALM” is also stamped in gold on the palm. This glove displays heavy game use.
