From the time Bryce Harper was in little league, he was already being touted as the next big thing in baseball.  After his Sophomore year in High School in October of 2009, he earned his GED making him eligible for the 2010 draft.  As a 17-year-old, he was named the SWAC Player of the year attending College of Southern Nevada, won the Golden Spikes Award and hit an astounding .443 with 31 Home Runs and 98 RBI in 66 games breaking the schools previous record of 12 Home Runs.  In 2010 the Washington Nationals selected Harper as with the 1st pick the draft.

In 2012 Harper made his Major League Debut on April 28th and only a month later to the date the Washington Nationals visited the Florida Marlins on Monday May 28th.  The Nationals wore this one game style hat that features camouflage inside the “W” in honor of the Nationals veterans on Memorial Day.  For Harper this was only the rookies 28th career game, a game in which he also collected his 30th career hit.

The Navy hat consists of writing on the inside of the brim, “MOM, WIN, LUKE 1:37, POPS” and what appears to read “P4HI“ in the 18 year old Harper’s customary handwriting.  There is also a number “34” penned inside the hat on the white mesh.  The hat shows light wear including a light sweat ring on the lower bill and appears that he penned the inscriptions prior to wearing the hat. Harper would go on to win the 2012 NL Rookie of the Year and became the youngest position player selected to an All-Star game in Major League history.  The hat comes with a LOA from MEARS for the game use.
