The Hall of Famer shortstop Derek Jeter played his final season of Major League Baseball as a player in 2014. Jeter retired as the franchise leader in hits (3,465), doubles (544), stolen bases (358), and more. Jeter retired with a full trophy cabinet, having won five World Series titles, five Silver Sluggers, five Gold Glove awards, and the 2000 World Series MVP trophy. In 2017, the Yankees retired Jeter’s number “2”, placing him, deservedly, in the same echelon as Yankee stars Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth. Jeter played in his final All-Star Game in 2014 – his 14th selection.
Offered here is a Derek Jeter red and blue 2014 All-Star Game button-down batting practice jersey with a large American League patch sewn across the chest. “JETER” is sewn across the back shoulders in tan tackle twill beneath a MLB logo. His number “2” is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and tan tackle twill. A 2014 All-Star Game logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a white Majestic logo, and a Yankees’ patch is sewn on the right sleeve. A Majestic size “48” tag has been applied to the back inside collar, and a Majestic tag is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey. Jeter signed his name in gold marker on the center of the “2” on the back. This item comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ197598) which authenticates Jeter’s signature and a COA from Steiner Sports that authenticates this jersey as a “Derek Jeter Signed 2014 American League All Star Game BP Jersey).
