The 2002 World Series came down to the seventh game as the Anaheim Angels defeated the San Francisco Giants. All-time home run king Barry Bonds had a World Series for the ages, despite his team losing in seven games. Bonds batted .471, hitting 4 home runs and 6 RBI. Bonds hit his third home run of the series during Game 3 at Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco. Bonds’ home run came in the bottom of the fifth inning off of Angels pitcher Ramon Ortiz. Offered here is one of the bases used during Game 3 of the 2002 World Series. This white base shows excellent game use with dirt stains and scuff marks on the top. The “2002 WORLD SERIES” logo is printed on the top, while the MLB logo is affixed to two opposites sides with the Angels’ logo on one side and the Giants’ logo on the other side. Handwritten in black marker on the underside of the base is “World Series Game 3 10/22/02”. This comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (MT00101604) for the game use.
