A campaign tradition that dates back to President Jimmy Carter, presidential candidates always released their most recent tax returns. This all changed when 2016 Republican nominee Donald Trump did not release his tax returns citing that he was under audit from the IRS. Three years into his presidency, the questions still linger regarding his tax returns and other financial documents that were subpoenaed by Congress and has now gone before the Supreme Court for a ruling.

Offered here is a copy of Donald Trump and Melania Trump’s (nee Knavs) 2005 104 U.S. Individual Income Tax Return first page. The 45th President of the United States Donald Trump has signed his name in bold black marker across the top. The copy of the tax return is somewhat blurry, but the names “DONALD J.” and “MELANIA” under “Your first name and initial” are clear, with the “Last name” “TRUMP” and “KNAVS”. The two were married in 2005, so this would have been the first year they filed as a married couple. Trump’s reported “Adjusted Gross Income” from line 37 is “58,592,025”. A poignant document signed by the current President and it comes with a LOA from JSA for Trump’s black marker signature.
