The ninth member of the 600 Home Run Club, Albert Pujols, wore this red alternate jersey on September 24th, 2016. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim slugger helped lead his team to a 10-4 road victory against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. Pujols turned in a vintage performance, finishing 2-4 with two RBI, a walk, and a run scored to help the Angels transform a 4-1 eighth inning deficit into a commanding victory. The three-time National League MVP singled home the tying run in the four run eighth frame, before receiving an intentional walk in the final inning of the ballgame. Two batters after being walked, Pujols scored the final run of the game after an Astros error on an Andrelton Simmons routine ground ball. In the fourth inning, Pujols drove in Mike Trout to score the Angels first run on a double to deep center field.

This red, button down jersey features “Angels” sewn across the front in red, navy, white, and gray tackle twill. Pujols’ number “5” is sewn on the front and back in similarly colored tackle twill. “PUJOLS” is sewn across the back shoulders in red, navy, and white tackle twill. A circular Angels logo is sewn on the left sleeve above a white Majestic logo, while an Angels “A” logo is sewn on the right. A gray and white band circles the sleeve and collar openings. A vinyl MLB logo is applied to the back outside collar. A Majestic size “54” tag is applied to the front left tail of the jersey. Pujols signed the “5” on the back in silver marker, adding the inscription “Game Used 2016”. A STICKER ONLY from Beckett Authentication (B54956) authenticates the signature, while an MLB Authenticated hologram (JB822312) dates the jersey to use during the September 24th game.
