This offered 1993 New York Yankees Spring Training roster card offers one of the earliest professional Derek Jeter autographs. Jeter was a non-roster invitee to spring training in 1993 and was issued number 73. Jeter signed his name in black pen on the back of this roster card and inscribed “#73”. An incredibly rare signature and even more rare “#73” inscription for Jeter, who was voted the South Atlantic League's Most Outstanding Prospect in 1993 before moving to the Yankees triple-A Columbus Clippers where in 1994 he was unanimously named Minor League Player of the Year by several national sponsoring bodies. Jeter subsequently earned the American League Rookie of the Year Award during his first full season with the Yankees (1996). In 2000, Jeter became the only player in history to win both the All-Star Game MVP Award and the World Series MVP Award in the same year. In 2011 Jeter became the first Yankee player to hit 3,000 hits in his career. Jeter's hard style of play and team spirit earned him All-Star status (14X), 5 Gold Glove Awards and 5 World Series rings, endearing him to countless baseball fans who saw his first ballot entry into the Hall of Fame in 2020. Other signatures on this roster card include Matt Nokes, Francisco de la Rosa and Bobby Munuz. This comes with a STICKER ONLY from JSA (I75296).
