The 1989 Detroit Pistons powered and intimidated its way to the first of two consecutive NBA Championships. Led by Isaiah Thomas, Joe Dumars and Dennis Rodman, and back-stopped by Bill Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn, the Pistons won 122 games over two seasons. This combined lot of merchandise includes several memento mini-basketballs, each signed by a different player, a replica official size and weight basketball multi-signed by members of the 1989- ’90 champions. Dennis Rodman boldly signed a single, red-white-and-blue mini basketball in black Sharpie, “Dennis the Worm Rodman 10” (grade 8) across a white panel. Mark Aguirre signed a single, red-white-and-blue mini basketball in black Sharpie, “Mark Aguirre” (grade 7 - 8) across a white panel. Joe Dumars signed a single, red-white-and-blue mini basketball in black Sharpie, “Joe Dumars #4” (grade 8) across a red panel. Isaiah Thomas signed a single, red-white-and-blue full-size basketball in black Sharpie, “Isaiah Thomas #11” (grade 7 - 8) across a white panel. John Salley signed a single, red-white-and-blue mini basketball in black Sharpie, “John Salley” (grade 8 - 9) across a white panel. The official size and weight Molten basketball has been signed by Gerald Henderson (grade 8), Scott Hastings (grade 6 – 7), Isaiah Thomas #11 (grade 7 – 8), Vinny Johnson (grade 8 – 9), Bill Laimbeer (grade 8 – 9), Joe Dumars #4 (grade 6 – 7), Dennis “The Worm” Rodman (grade 5 – 6), and James Edwards #53 (grade7) in bold black Sharpie. A Champion-made, official NBA size-40 Pistons’ blue away jersey has been signed by Joe Dumars #4 (grade 8 – 9), vertically across the red-trimmed-in-white No. 4 on the backside. All lettering, including red-trimmed-in-white “PISTONS” and white “DUMARS, and numbering (front and back red-trimmed-in-white “4” on the 100% polyester jersey are ironed decals. The collar and arm-holes are cuffed in red-and-white tackle-twill. A black ink stain slants across the “O” in “Pistons.” The Champion Apparel and NBA logos adorn the left-front shoulder strap.
