Boston Celtics guard Reggie Lewis spent six years in the shadows of Larry Bird in the late 1980s before emerging as an NBA superstar in the early ‘90s. His untimely death in 1993 plummeted the Celtics to the depths of mediocrity. In fact, the six seasons Lewis played for Boston, the Celtics had winning records every season and made the playoffs. The six season after his death, the Celtics went a combined 170 – 290, making the playoffs only once – and losing. This replica basketball has been boldly signed in black Sharpie and inscribed by Lewis with his number “35.” The signature is an 8 and has been precertified. A 1990 NBA-official player card accompanies the ball.
